We're looking for a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join us as we improve our internal processes and boost business results through monitoring, automation, and CI/CD solutions.



Your role


As a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key member of Talino’s Technology Team, working closely with business leaders, fellow engineers, and Talino’s architecture team. It is your task to ensure the highest level of efficiency and infrastructure availability for our impact-driven products. You will have the opportunity to build world-class products alongside diverse change makers and innovators. 


As an engineering and coding expert, you will champion the efficiency of Talino’s technical operations while ensuring the scalability and success of product offerings for startups under Talino’s portfolio. On a practical level, this means creating and developing software while designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of various projects.


What it takes


You should have relevant experience in managing multiple IT projects at once, focusing on development, quality, performance, reliability, infrastructure, security, and compliance. 


To excel at this role, you should be a critical thinker with a knack for optimizing systems through automation. You must love the intersection of ideas, data, results, and technology while being receptive to customer experience. It's also crucial to possess problem-solving and technical leadership skills to fulfill your duties.


Moreover, you must be well-versed in agile software development methodologies, operating systems, and infrastructure configuration while being able to apply the best practices at work. 


You’ll be expected to: 

  • Implement the project's continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and solutions
  • Enforce DevOps and Infrastructure best practices across projects
  • Administer and position build, test, deploy, and monitoring pipelines for various projects
  • Create, maintain, and invoke automation scripts
  • Administer and deploy various project infrastructures and development tools for project teams 
  • Administer and deploy monitoring and notification infrastructures
  • Assists the architect in designing and implementing highly available infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to design and implement DevOps artifacts and infrastructure
  • Secure and harden server resources by applying fixes as recommended by publicly available vulnerabilities databases
  • Maximize the technology stack, languages, frameworks, and design patterns for various projects 


Coordinate and manage tasks:

  • Align deliverables with project stakeholders and provide regular updates 
  • Attend regular standups and committee meetings as needed
  • Address technical challenges, risks, and recommendations alongside project stakeholders
  • Communicate and document technical challenges, risks, and recommendations
  • Perform other related functions as deemed necessary by the direct supervisor as agreed by all parties
