About us

Talino Venture Labs is a global venture studio headquartered in California and building inclusive fintech startups across Asia and the United States. Our mission is to bridge the $5.2 trillion financial inclusion gap, and to accelerate economic growth and recovery for underserved markets and the emerging middle class around the world. Exciting times are afoot at Talino Venture Lab, and we are looking for an HR Manager as we scale our operations, grow our team, and build a world-class organization.

Your role

As an HR Manager, you will be a key member of Talino’s Admin & Operations team and will be the go-to person for all human resource-related concerns. This means that you will heavily impact all phases of a team member’s career in Talino, from job design and recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and talent management.

You will report directly to the CEO and will also have the support of the executive team, entrepreneurs-in-residence, and other business leaders.

The job of an HR Manager is critical to business success. Our people are the heart of all we do, and we’ll need your help to cultivate a purpose-driven, productive workplace with an inclusive culture that inspires everyone to bring our mission, values, and objectives to life.

  • Design appropriate performance evaluation tools to support constructive and timely performance evaluations across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, in alignment with appropriate laws and ethical standards, and enforce appropriate disciplinary actions to address any deviations, if and when necessary
  • Work with the executive team to implement other organizational and people-oriented tasks that ensure Talino’s productivity and efficiency while in a multicultural, remote-first work environment

Your Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs: recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • You may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job posts
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Develop employee engagement programs to maximize employee engagement, retention, and growth
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices in the areas where we operate; review policies and practices to ensure compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law across the geographies in which Talino operates
  • Performs other duties as assigned
